Nipe Tabasamu Nipe Upendo (NTNU) in the Swahili language means to “Give Me Smile — Give Me Love”. This message of hope has been the sole purpose, vision and mission for NTNU since it’s inception in 2019. However, giving back and serving Kenyan Communities was something that started well-before.
The Executive Director and Founder of NTNU is Mercy Mwende. She is driven from her personal experiences of not having all she needed as a youth. This drove her first experience helping at Baby Blessing Children’s Home while in high school to becoming an Enumerator and Youth Mentor with Hope Worldwide Kenya.
Through her dedication and determination, Mercy has excelled to earn a Certificate in Management, Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management and is in current pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Strategic Management. Mercy currently serves as the Associate Dean of Students at East Africa University.
